1977: Sunridge Nurseries

Our roots, both literal and figurative, are in Sunridge Nurseries, founded in 1977 by Glen Stoller and dedicated to growing the finest table and wine grape stock imported from France, Portugal, and Spain. It was Sunridge Nurseries that brought proprietor Craig Stoller, third generation vine grower, to Paso Robles.

1995: Chalk Knoll Vineyard

Looking to explore the Central Coast’s vine growing potential, the Stoller family partnered with Dana Merrill of Mesa Vineyard to plant the Chalk Knoll Vineyard in San Ardo, California in 1995. Located just 35 miles from the Pacific Ocean, Chalk Knoll is located on a stretch of dirt road that meanders along the scenic foothills of the southern Monterey Coast.

2001: RBZ Vineyard

With the original goal of producing more cuttings for the nursery, Craig planted a single vineyard test plot of ENTAV selections in 2001. That was to be the very first block of our estate vineyard, which produced our very first vintage of Sextant Wines. Today the RBZ Vineyard is planted to over two dozen varietals across 97 acres, focusing on Bordeaux, Rhône & Zinfandel varietals.

2006: MacGregor Vineyard

Craig and Nancy purchased Windemere Wines from proprietress Cathy MacGregor in 2006, whose father originally planted the vineyard in 1974 to Pinot Noir on its own rootstock and later, Chardonnay. Since then, we’ve maintained our focus on this established and storied vineyard and making notable Burgundian wines, each a true testament to the land from which it came.

2009: Edna Valley

After opening the doors to our first tasting room in the town of San Luis Obispo in 2007, we relocated to the picturesque and historic Old Edna, a townsite established in 1908 in the heart of the Edna Valley, where we continue taste both Sextant and Windemere wines from the historic general store, still featuring its original floors, walls, and front door.

2011: Paso Robles

As we continued to grow on the Central Coast, we opened a state-of-the-art winery and production facility in westside Paso Robles. Entering through an archway made of limestone sourced from the property itself, we invite you to experience our Estate Winery and Hospitality Center via a small or group tasting, as a member in our VIP room, or with a guided tour.

2017: Paris Valley Road

The Stoller family purchases the historic Arciero Family Vineyards property in Paso Robles, CA. Paris Valley Road Estate Winery opened its doors in fall of 2020.
